Wednesday was a bitter sweet day for me and my family. My little brother, Michael, went into the MTC. He'll be serving his mission in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz mission. I've never had to drop anyone off there and say goodbye for 2 years before, but oh my goodness, im glad he's the only boy!! I dont think i could be able to handle it again. I lost it when we sang Called To Serve and then everytime the speakers would remind us that shortly the missionaries would walk out one door and families out the other door. Im so proud of my little brother though. He was actually pretty lucky, he entered the MTC the same day, same time as one of our cousins, so we got to say goodbye to both of them! Atleast they had eachother for the first bit in the MTC, it made us feel better atleast! I'll miss him so much though, he's going to be a spoiled missionary with all his sisters and mom sending him stuff he probably wont even want :) Good luck Mike, I love you!

This picture is for my niece, kaitlyn, he's pointing to Miley Cyrus :)

You're doing great on your blog. We really like it. We like how your background wallpaper matches your dress. Congratulations on your engagement; what a beautiful ring. Can't wait to meet him. - Rob & Francys
ReplyDeleteI think it was a good idea that I wasn't there- I'd be a wreck!!!! Can't wait to see you in a few days. love ya!
ReplyDeleteHey Crystal! I'm glad you found me! Congratulations on the engagement, that is so exciting! When is the big day?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't even read your blog without crying. The picture of him waving one final goodbye completely got me. I would have been a wreck if I were there...you can only imagine how we were when he was set apart!
ReplyDeleteCrystal, I know what you felt when you said goodbye to Michael. It is so hard, but what blessings he will receive by being obedient. He is such a great young man. Cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe MTC is such a bittersweet moment in time. It never gets easier whether it is a brother, a friend, or heaven forbid your son.... it is hard, and life changing and usually way harder on the family than the missionary. Most of them are like, see ya later! Such cute pictures and hard pictures to view. You are darling Crystal and I would love to see you! Come and hang out before Washington kidnaps you! Love ya
